Kyiv Residential Building Hit in Drone Attack; Three Injured

A Russian drone struck a nine-storey residential building in Kyiv's Holosiivskyi district on Thursday evening, leaving at least three people injured, according to local officials. Emergency services evacuated 25 residents from the building following the attack.

Firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze that broke out in the structure, with crews spraying water onto the damaged facade. An ambulance was present at the scene to attend to the injured.

Zlata Viunyk, an 18-year-old resident who was in her apartment when the strike occurred, described the constant fear that has become part of daily life. "I honestly can't call this life, it's just existence," she said. "You're in a constant state of anxiety... you can't live normally because you don't know whether it'll hit today or not."

Viunyk noted a difference in the nature of recent attacks, saying that while Shahed drones could previously be heard approaching, this particular device was silent, making it harder to anticipate. She said work is the only thing that helps her cope with the ongoing uncertainty.
