L&T Wins Major Offshore EPCIC Contracts from ONGC for West Coast Projects
L&T's offshore arm has secured major EPCIC orders from ONGC for subsea pipeline replacement and well head platform projects.
Larsen & Toubro's offshore energy division, L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore, has received a series of major contracts from the Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC). The work will be carried out under the engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning (EPCIC) model for projects located off India's west coast.
The contracts fall under the 'Major' classification, which applies to orders valued between Rs 5,000 crore and Rs 10,000 crore. The scope includes the Pipeline Replacement Project (PRP-X), which involves the EPCIC of multiple subsea pipeline segments along with associated modifications to ONGC's offshore fields. Additionally, the order covers the construction of four distinct well head platforms.
Parthasarathi Chatterjee, Senior Vice President and Head of L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Offshore, said the orders reinforce the division's role as a trusted partner in developing India's offshore energy infrastructure. He noted that the contracts reflect customer confidence in the company's integrated EPCIC capabilities, execution experience, and commitment to safety.
The division brings in-house engineering, fabrication facilities, and a dedicated fleet of marine vessels to the projects. Over the past four decades, it has delivered fixed platforms, subsea pipelines, brownfield upgrades, and decommissioning work across global markets.
