Latin Music Stars to Headline Benefit Concert for Quake-Hit Venezuela and Colombia

A coalition of Latin music's biggest names will take the stage in Miami on August 16 for a benefit concert aimed at raising funds for communities devastated by recent earthquakes in Venezuela and Colombia. The event, titled "Unidos por Los Nuestros" (United for Our Own), will be livestreamed from the Kaseya Center starting at 6 p.m. ET.

The lineup includes Marc Anthony, Luis Fonsi, Chayanne, Feid, and Jay Wheeler, alongside acts such as Piso 21, Gente de Zona, Ricardo Montaner, and Olga Tañón. Proceeds from ticket sales and online donations will support both immediate relief and long-term rebuilding efforts, including home reconstruction, school repairs, and mental health services.

The concert was initially organized to aid Venezuela after two powerful earthquakes struck the country's northern region on June 24, killing at least 6,300 people. Organizers expanded the scope on Monday after a separate 7.4-magnitude earthquake hit western Colombia, resulting in at least 181 deaths and over 2,500 injuries. Researchers have called the Colombian quake the country's worst this century.

Marc Anthony, whose Maestro Cares Foundation will administer funds alongside the Univision Foundation, emphasized the shared responsibility to help those in need. The proceeds will be distributed to nonprofit groups including All Hands and Hearts, CARE, Global Empowerment Mission, Techo, and World Central Kitchen.

Rodner Figueroa of the I Love Venezuela Foundation noted that keeping public attention on the crisis is a major challenge, as tens of thousands of displaced survivors still require housing, clean water, and medical care. Many families continue to search for missing loved ones without official assistance.

The broadcast will air on Univision, ViX, WAPA, and other platforms. Viewers can donate via QR codes, texting UNIDOS to 707070, or visiting univision.org. The event is organized by Cárdenas Marketing Network, Maestro Cares Foundation, TelevisaUnivision, and PIMIENTO Entertainment.

Other artists are also mobilizing relief, including Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel, who will host a separate benefit concert at the Hollywood Bowl on August 23.
