Madhya Pradesh's Dubai outreach nets Rs 53,000 crore in investment proposals

Madhya Pradesh's Dubai investment drive secured proposals exceeding Rs 53,000 crore, focusing on logistics, technology, and green energy partnerships.

A three-day investment outreach by Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav to Dubai has resulted in investment proposals exceeding Rs 53,000 crore. The state government positioned Madhya Pradesh as a key manufacturing and investment destination, aiming to connect global capital with technology, supply chains, and markets.

During the visit from September 6 to 8, Yadav held discussions with senior UAE officials and representatives from global companies. The talks covered a wide range of sectors, including logistics, food processing, education, artificial intelligence, green energy, e-mobility, and waste-to-energy projects.

In the logistics sector, DP World expressed interest in developing Pawarkheda as a multimodal logistics hub. This project is envisioned to link farmers, farmer-producer organisations (FPOs), MSMEs, and industries with both national and international markets. Separately, Sharaf Group is evaluating a rail-siding-based logistics park with an investment of Rs 30-50 million, which could generate an estimated 300-600 jobs.

The UAE side also indicated plans to send a high-level delegation to Madhya Pradesh to explore opportunities in tourism and hospitality. Discussions were held on enhancing air connectivity between the state and the UAE to support these ties.

Technology and sustainability were other focal points. The World Bank explored potential collaboration in artificial intelligence and digital governance. BEEAH, a UAE-based environmental management company, discussed waste management, waste-to-energy, and circular-economy solutions, including the possible replication of Indore's successful solid-waste and Bio-CNG model on a larger scale.
