Madhya Pradesh and UAE agreed to develop a joint mechanism for investment projects during CM Yadav's Dubai visit, covering trade, food processing, and green energy.

Madhya Pradesh and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to develop a joint working mechanism for selected investment projects and plan to hold a bilateral investment roundtable. The understanding was reached during Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's meeting with UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi on the sidelines of the AIM Congress in Dubai.

The discussions spanned food processing, fisheries, cold chains, green energy, logistics, pharmaceuticals, electric vehicles, smart manufacturing, and export platforms. Both sides agreed to institutionalise cooperation on these sectors.

Yadav also met Yusuff Ali M A, Chairman and Managing Director of Lulu Group International. The talks focused on increasing direct procurement of onions, wheat, vegetables, and other agricultural produce from Madhya Pradesh. Opportunities in food processing, supply chains, warehousing, and retail network expansion were also discussed. Yadav briefed the company on the state's agricultural infrastructure and invited it to scale up investments.

In a separate meeting with UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, the Chief Minister discussed civil aviation, special economic zones, and industrial parks. He outlined plans for developing special industrial zones in Madhya Pradesh and explored concepts similar to the Dubai Future Foundation.

Earlier, Yadav called on Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah. Cooperation in ceramics, construction materials, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, tourism, food processing, logistics, and renewable energy was discussed. Yadav extended an invitation to the Global Investors Summit (GIS) 2027, scheduled in Bhopal.

The Chief Minister also held a government-level meeting with Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of Russia's Republic of Tatarstan, focusing on advanced manufacturing, petrochemicals, engineering, and technology-led industries. Both sides agreed to exchange business delegations and explore joint projects.

Addressing the 'Invest in Madhya Pradesh' session, Yadav highlighted the state's central location, saying goods can reach any part of India within 24 to 36 hours. He described the state as a centre for stable and reliable investment partnerships. He also inaugurated the Madhya Pradesh Pavilion at the AIM Congress, showcasing opportunities in manufacturing, textiles, renewable energy, and GI-tagged products.
