Man Beaten to Death in UP Village After Visiting Married Woman at Night

A 28-year-old man was beaten to death in a village in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr district after he went to meet a married woman at her house during the night, police said on Tuesday.

The incident took place on Monday night in Jinamai village under the Chhatari police station limits. The deceased has been identified as Pushpendra, a resident of the same village.

Superintendent of Police (Rural) Antariksh Jain said police were informed about the incident on Tuesday morning. The Anupshahr Circle Officer, along with a team from Chhatari police station, reached the spot and recovered the body.

According to preliminary information, Pushpendra had gone to the woman's house at night, where he was allegedly assaulted with sticks by her husband and her uncle. The attack proved fatal.

A forensics team visited the crime scene and collected evidence. Three people have been booked in connection with the murder. One accused has been taken into custody, and three police teams have been formed to arrest the remaining suspects, Jain added.
