Mari Selvaraj's sixth film 'Manjanathi' began production today, featuring Kayadu Lohar and Priyanka Mohan in lead roles.

Tamil filmmaker Mari Selvaraj's sixth directorial, Manjanathi, officially began production on September 7 with a traditional pooja ceremony. The announcement was made by the director on social media, accompanied by a new poster and stills from the event.

The film features Kayadu Lohar and Priyanka Mohan in leading roles, with Kathir, Sandy Master, Vidhu, and Poornima Ravi in pivotal parts. Rahul R, known for his work in Mari's 2024 film Vaazhai, is also part of the cast, alongside newcomer Raghavi.

A notable aspect of the project is the collaboration between Mari and legendary composer Ilaiyaraaja. He noted that the approach to integrating Ilaiyaraaja would be a fresh experience for cinema audiences.

The technical crew includes Ezhil Arasu K as cinematographer and Selva RK as editor. The film is produced by Divya Mari Selvaraj, Mari Selvaraj, and Sushant Prasad under the banners of Navvi Studios and Skanda Pictures.
