Masterplan Trailer: Stanley Tucci Leads a Mona Lisa Heist With a Family Twist

Prime Video has released the trailer for its upcoming heist film Masterplan, led by Stanley Tucci alongside Simona Tabasco and Victor Belmondo.

In the film, Tucci plays a retired thief who sets his sights on Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa. To pull off the job, he recruits two young strangers: Chiara, an Italian cybercrime expert played by Tabasco, and Jay, a French explosives specialist played by Belmondo.

The recruitment comes with an unexpected revelation. The two recruits turn out to be long-lost siblings — and the veteran thief is their father. The synopsis describes a chaotic reunion the pair never asked for, with the newly formed family forced to work together, and to avoid killing each other, if they hope to pull off the heist of the century.

The trailer balances tense sequences with humorous moments, reflecting a mix of high-stakes storytelling and comic relief.

Masterplan is directed by Thomas Vincent, who co-wrote the screenplay with BAFTA-winning writer David Wolstencroft. The story is credited to Giacomo Durzi, Alessandro Fabbri, Alberto Vignati, Wolstencroft and Vincent.

The film is co-produced by Gaumont and Amazon MGM Studios and was shot across multiple locations in France and Italy. It is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on October 16.
