Oscar-winning actor Melissa Leo has been added to the cast of 'Supermax', the upcoming action-thriller from Amazon MGM Studios and Miramax. She will appear alongside Will Smith, who leads the film's ensemble.

The cast also includes AnnaSophia Robb, Jason Clarke, Jaafar Jackson, Nicholas Alexander Chavez, Andres Almeida, Martin Bats Bradford, and Erika Ringor.

Production is currently underway in New South Wales, Australia. The screenplay was written by David Weil and David J. Rosen. Amazon MGM acquired worldwide rights from Miramax in May for $70 million, with the film slated for release on Prime Video.

Executive producers include Weil, Rosen, Miramax CEO Jonathan Glickman, president of film Alexandra Loewy, COO Thom Zadra, senior VP Spencer Ela, and Westbrook's James Lassiter and Miguel Melendez.
