Maharashtra CET Cell Extends Final Admission Deadline for Technical Courses to September 14
Maharashtra CET Cell has extended the final admission deadline for technical courses to September 14, 2026, covering CAP and institute-level vacancy rounds.
The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has pushed back the last date for final admissions to technical courses for the 2026-27 academic year. Candidates now have until September 14, 2026, to complete the process under both the Centralised Admission Process (CAP) and institute-level vacancy rounds.
The revision was made in line with a Supreme Court order and the All India Council for Technical Education's (AICTE) updated academic schedule. The extended window applies to professional programmes offered under technical education.
Candidates who have been allotted seats must finish all pending formalities before the cut-off, including fee payment and system reporting. Those who fail to meet the deadline risk losing their admission confirmation.
Steps to complete the admission process
- Log on to the official CET Cell portal at fe2026.mahacet.org.
- Open the login section on the homepage and sign in with the registered ID and password.
- Review the allotted seat and current admission status.
- Confirm the seat and proceed with the remaining formalities.
- Pay the prescribed admission fee within the stipulated time.
- Report to the allotted institute where required.
- Get all necessary documents verified and submitted.
- Complete system reporting so that admission details are updated on the portal.
Applicants are advised to check the portal for their specific course and ensure every step is completed well before September 14.
