MIMHAR to offer free de-addiction treatment under Operation Toofan
Madin Academy's MIMHAR will provide free de-addiction treatment to 50 people under Operation Toofan, an initiative launched by Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala in Malappuram.
Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala on Monday launched an anti-drug initiative of the Madin Institute of Mental Health and Rehabilitation (MIMHAR), run by Madin Academy, as part of the State government's continuing Operation Toofan.
Under the arrangement, MIMHAR will offer free treatment to 50 people seeking to overcome drug addiction. The beneficiaries will be selected on the basis of recommendations from the Home Minister. Madin Academy has also agreed to collaborate with the government on anti-drug activities under the project.
Mr. Chennithala was at the academy in Malappuram to offer condolences on the death of Fatima Imbichi Beevi, mother of Madin Academy chairman Syed Ibrahim Khalil Bukhari Thangal. He recalled her role in raising five scholars who went on to serve society.
Students and teachers welcomed the Home Minister on his arrival, and Student Police Cadets saluted him.
Academy chairman Syed Ibrahim Khaleel Bukhari presided over the function. Among those present were Madin Academic Director Noufal Kodur, Syed Abdullah Habeebur Rahman Bukhari, Syed Ahmadul Kabeer Bukhari, MLA V.S. Joy, UDF district convener P.T. Ajaymohan and Madin global relations director Umar Melmuri.
