Miss World 2026: India's Nikita Porwal in Final Showdown at Vietnam Grand Finale
India's Nikita Porwal competes in the Miss World 2026 finale in Vietnam, facing 110 contestants for the global crown.
The Miss World 2026 finale is set to take place in Vietnam today, with India's Nikita Porwal among the 111 contestants vying for the prestigious international crown. The event marks the 73rd edition of the pageant, with the location announced by the Miss World Organisation in late March.
Porwal, a native of Madhya Pradesh, earned her place on the global stage after winning the Femina Miss India World title in 2024. Before her pageant career, she worked as a television anchor and was involved in theatre. She arrived in Vietnam earlier this month to participate in preliminary events and appearances leading up to the finale.
During the 'Dances of the World' segment, Porwal wore a black-and-gold ensemble featuring a sculpted blouse with gold body chains and a multicoloured draped skirt with a thigh-high slit. Her look was accessorised with traditional gold jewellery, including a maang tikka, earrings, bangles, armlets, a waist chain, and anklets, with her hair styled in a braid decorated with gold ornaments.
Reigning Miss World 2025, Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand, is scheduled to crown her successor at the conclusion of the event. Notable contestants competing alongside Porwal include representatives from Australia, Bangladesh, Brazil, France, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Nepal, the Philippines, and England.
The grand finale will be streamed live on JioHotstar starting at 5:30 pm IST on September 5. India's last Miss World winner was Manushi Chhillar in 2017, and attention now turns to Porwal as she seeks to bring the title back to the country.
