In Tashkent, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold bilateral discussions with Uzbek leadership. These talks are expected to cover avenues for expanding trade and deepening cooperation on regional security matters.
From Uzbekistan, Mr. Modi will travel to Bishkek to participate in the 26th Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO). The summit provides a platform for member states to deliberate on shared challenges and opportunities, with India expected to push for stronger multilateral engagement on issues of mutual interest.
The tour underscores New Delhi's focus on Central Asia as a key region for connectivity, energy security, and counter-terrorism cooperation.
