Mumbai Police Book Six Drivers After Supercars Race Inside Coastal Road Tunnel

Mumbai police have registered cases against six drivers after a video surfaced showing a group of supercars racing illegally inside the Coastal Road tunnel. The footage, recorded around 11:15 pm on September 3 near Marine Drive, quickly gained traction on social media, prompting police action.

The police complaint, filed by Head Constable Satish Nivrutti Sangale, states that six to seven cars were seen speeding inside the tunnel without maintaining proper discipline. The vehicles identified include a black Lamborghini, a yellow BMW M2, a red BMW Z4, and a Volkswagen Virtus.

Cases have been registered under Sections 281 and 125 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS), which pertain to negligent driving and endangering life or personal safety. No arrests have been made so far, but police have identified the vehicles involved and are expected to take them into custody shortly.
