Nadda Accuses Opposition of 'Toolkit Mentality' Aimed at Derailing Viksit Bharat

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Union Minister J.P. Nadda on Monday accused the Opposition of adopting a "toolkit mentality" and working to derail the country's progress, naming Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal, Samajwadi Party's Akhilesh Yadav and Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee.

Addressing a press briefing, Mr. Nadda alleged that these leaders were attempting to defame constitutional institutions and obstruct India's march towards a Viksit Bharat. He said their political strategy rested on fabricating falsehoods and vitiating the national atmosphere to secure power for dynastic benefit, rather than for public service, national security or dignity.

Mr. Nadda contrasted the BJP's stated priorities with those of the Opposition, saying his party was committed to the welfare of the poorest and most marginalised sections and to nation-building. He expressed confidence that citizens would see through what he described as disruptive conspiracies and decisively reject such leaders.

The Union Minister said that at a time when 140 crore Indians were working to fulfil the resolve of a Viksit Bharat and the country's achievements were being recognised globally, the Congress and its allies were frustrated and disheartened.

He claimed that all allegations levelled by the Opposition had repeatedly collapsed when tested against facts. Lacking both policy and vision, he said, they were devising fresh conspiracies to spread confusion and disorder. Referring to a recent episode, Mr. Nadda alleged that a completely fabricated story had been used to create turmoil across the nation, and that now, with members of the Election Commission having exposed their false allegations, the Opposition had begun fresh attempts to vitiate the atmosphere.
