Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Tigmanshu Dhulia reunite for musical thriller based on Uday Prakash story

After more than a decade of crossing paths in Hindi cinema, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Tigmanshu Dhulia have finally joined forces as actor and director. The duo, who previously shared screen space in films like Gangs of Wasseypur and Manjhi: The Mountain Man, have completed work on a musical thriller titled Woh Phir Kabhi Dikha Nahi.

The film is an adaptation of a short story by veteran poet and author Uday Prakash. While plot details remain under wraps, sources indicate the narrative is set against the backdrop of a Delhi slum. Shooting has reportedly wrapped, and the film is expected to premiere on a streaming platform by the end of this year.

For Siddiqui, this marks his second project rooted in slum life, following his role in Sudhir Mishra's Serious Men (2020), where he played a Mumbai slum dweller who fabricates a story about his son being a child prodigy. In contrast, the upcoming film is described as a dramatic thriller with musical undertones.

Siddiqui was last seen in Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders and is currently shooting for Tumbbad 2. He also has a dark comedy titled Blind Bahu and a Hindi adaptation of the American medical drama House in the pipeline.

Meanwhile, Dhulia is awaiting the release of Ghamasaan, a crime thriller inspired by the life of dacoit Dadua. The film, starring Arshad Warsi and Pratik Gandhi, premieres on ZEE5 on September 11 and marks Dhulia's return to direction after six years.
