Gaza documentary 'NAZA' to stream free via The Guardian after global release

'NAZA', the documentary on the killings in Gaza by Israeli filmmakers Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor, will be made available to watch free of charge after its global release, with The Guardian's website hosting it for audiences worldwide.
The film, which won a special jury prize at the recently concluded Venice Film Festival, will reach theatres worldwide on September 28 following its world premiere at Venice. Its free online run is expected to begin in late November.
According to its official synopsis, 'NAZA' lays out in detail the systems behind what it describes as Israel's calculated mass killing of Palestinian civilians in Gaza. The documentary was shot in secrecy at night on the rooftops of Tel Aviv and features interviews with 24 Israeli military intelligence officers and soldiers.
The title refers to an acronym used by Israeli intelligence for collateral damage, indicating the number of civilians it expects will be killed in an airstrike.
Abraham announced the free worldwide streaming on his X handle, saying the decision followed the interest and public importance of the film. He said he and Szor had decided together with The Guardian that the documentary would be accessible online for free, without any time limit, so that every person could watch it and the soldiers' testimonies. The streaming date in November, he added, was the earliest they could set.
Until then, the filmmakers have approached cinemas in Israel and offered them the film at no cost, hoping it will be screened in the country now, in parallel with its distribution in cinemas around the world. Abraham described such a screening as a brave decision in the face of what he called great violence aimed at concealing the film, and said he hoped everyone would soon be able to see it, whether in cinemas or online in a few weeks.
Abraham and Szor were two of the four directors of 'No Other Land', which won the 2025 Best Documentary Oscar and depicts the Israeli government's efforts to force Palestinians from their homes in the southern West Bank.
