NBEMS releases the Final (Mop-up) Round schedule for FNB seats counselling 2025. Candidates must join allotted institutions by October 1 or forfeit their seat and first-year fee.
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has released the schedule for the Final (Mop-up) Round of online centralised merit-based counselling for admission to Fellow of National Board (FNB) seats for the 2025 admission session. The seat matrix for this round will be published before the counselling begins.
The Final (Mop-up) Round is being held in continuation of an earlier notice dated June 24 and follows Chapter 3 of the Handbook for FNB Seats Counselling – 2025 Admission Session.
Key dates
- Login and choice filling by eligible candidates: September 18 to September 21, up to 5 pm.
- Processing of allotment: September 22 to September 24.
- Declaration of allotment result: September 25.
- Physical joining at the allotted hospital: September 25 to October 1.
Who is eligible
Candidates who have already registered for counselling but have not been allotted a seat in the first and/or second round are eligible to participate in the Final (Mop-up) Round. Detailed information is available in the Handbook for FNB seats counselling.
Instructions for hospitals
Hospitals have been directed to keep the joining and resignation status of all candidates updated on the counselling portal at hadmin.nbe.edu.in/fnbadmin/doLogin. If a candidate resigns before the Final (Mop-up) Round begins, the hospital must update the resignation details on the portal by September 17, up to 5 pm, so that the resulting vacant seat can be included in the round. Seats for which resignation details are not updated within this deadline will not be part of the Final (Mop-up) Round.
Important for candidates
Candidates are advised to carefully review the flow chart outlining the allotment process for the Final (Mop-up) Round. Those who fail to join the institution to which they have been allotted a seat by October 1 will lose their FNB seat, and their first-year course fee will be forfeited.
For further clarification or assistance, candidates can write to NBEMS through the Communication Web Portal on the NBEMS website at natboard.edu.in.
