NEET PG 2026 Answer Key and Response Sheet Expected Today, Result by September 30

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) is expected to release the provisional answer key and response sheets for NEET PG 2026 today, although the board has not issued any official confirmation of a date or time. Candidates are advised to monitor the official NBEMS portal for updates.

Around 2.66 lakh candidates were scheduled to appear for the examination, which was conducted across 1,111 centres in 338 cities. Of these, 2,63,535 candidates completed the test. Separately, 2,445 candidates from Jaipur are set to take the exam again after the test was disrupted at two centres in the Sitapura area because of an internal power failure.

The NEET PG 2026 result is scheduled to be declared by September 30. The provisional answer key and response sheet will allow candidates to assess their performance before the result is announced.

How to check the answer key and response sheet

• Visit the official NBEMS website at natboard.edu.in.
• Go to the NEET PG 2026 section, or select Examinations and then NEET PG.
• Click on the application link under the NEET PG 2026 tab.
• Select the login option and enter the required user ID and password.
• Click on the answer key and provisional response sheet link.
• Question IDs, correct answers and recorded responses will be displayed.
• Check the details and download the answer key or response sheet.

Marking scheme

The question paper consisted of 180 multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 720 marks. Each correct answer earns four marks, while one mark is deducted for every incorrect answer. No marks are awarded for unanswered questions. Candidates can estimate their probable score by multiplying correct answers by four and subtracting the number of incorrect answers.

Tie-breaking criteria

If two or more candidates obtain identical marks, NBEMS has prescribed tie-breaking criteria. These include consideration of the number of incorrect answers, followed by the number of incorrect answers in Section A and other prescribed parameters.
