NEET PG 2026: Re-Exam for 2,445 Candidates on September 5

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced a re-examination for 2,445 candidates whose NEET PG 2026 attempt was disrupted by technical failures at iON Digital Zone iDZ Sitapura centres in Jaipur, Rajasthan. The re-test is scheduled for September 5, 2026, at 3 pm.

The main examination was held on August 30, 2026, with 2,65,980 candidates appearing nationwide. Of these, 2,63,535 candidates completed the test without issue, according to the official notice.

In its advisory, NBEMS has urged candidates not to panic if they encounter technical problems during the exam. The board's information bulletin assures that contingency measures are in place to prevent any loss of allotted examination time.

To help candidates understand their rights during such disruptions, the board has outlined common technical errors and the steps taken to address them:

• Power Failure: If a power cut occurs after login, the exam timer automatically stops and resumes once power is restored, ensuring no time is lost.
• Machine Lock: If a candidate's system locks due to loss of connectivity with the primary server, the IT manager in the exam room will verify and unlock the account. The timer will restart from the exact point where the candidate left off.
• System Malfunctions: For issues like screen flickering, mouse problems, or system hanging, candidates should immediately report to an invigilator. The IT manager will verify the issue, lock the machine, and may shift the candidate to a buffer seat if necessary.

The re-examination will be conducted exclusively in Jaipur for all affected candidates.
