NEET-PG 2026: Repeated System Failures Disrupt Exam at Two Jaipur Centres

The NEET-PG 2026 examination was marred by significant technical disruptions at two test centres in Jaipur on Sunday, August 30, 2026. Candidates at the two iON Digital Zone centres in Sitapura alleged that computer systems repeatedly shut down during the test, causing chaos and prompting protests.

The examination, which was scheduled to begin at 9 am, reportedly started late at these venues. Once underway, candidates said the systems failed continuously, with some reporting their computers crashed six to seven times, while others claimed even more frequent interruptions. After each restart, only a few questions would appear on some screens before the systems went down again.

Frustrated by the repeated failures, several candidates walked out of the examination centre to stage a protest. They questioned the adequacy of the technical arrangements and alleged that centre staff provided no clear explanation for the recurring glitches. Concerns were also raised about the fairness and confidentiality of the test, as some candidates reported seeing questions on their screens before the systems failed again.

The protesters demanded an impartial inquiry into the disruptions and urged examination authorities to ensure that no candidate is disadvantaged due to technical failures. One candidate, Gunjan, noted that aspirants pay a substantial fee for a crucial examination like NEET-PG and deserve reliable technical infrastructure for an uninterrupted test. Many candidates, who had prepared for one to two years, expressed fears that such disruptions could adversely affect their future.

Following the protest, police and administration officials arrived at the centre. ACP Jaipur South Lalit Sharma confirmed that police were present to maintain law and order amid the commotion.
