Netanyahu: Overthrowing Iran's Regime Is 'Within Reach'
Israeli PM Netanyahu told IDF leaders that bringing down Iran's government remains Israel's central mission and is within reach.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that dismantling the Iranian government remains Israel's foremost objective, asserting that the regime in Tehran is at its weakest point and that success is achievable.
Speaking on Thursday at a Rosh Hashanah toast attended by Defense Minister Israel Katz and IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir in Tel Aviv, Netanyahu described the Iranian leadership as "faltering" and "fighting for its life." He expressed confidence in Israel's military capabilities, including its pilots and home-front systems, to "remove this threat once and for all."
"This is the central mission that still lies before us, but it is close. It is not impossible. It is within reach," Netanyahu said.
In a separate remark directed at adversaries, the Prime Minister warned against testing Israel's resolve. "They are not simply refraining from attacking us. They are attacking everyone, just not us," he said, citing Israel's strength and determination. "If you have learned anything, do not mess with us."
The comments come amid heightened regional tensions and signal Israel's continued focus on the Iranian threat as a strategic priority.
