Netflix to Document Trump's Secret Decoy Plane Ruse

Netflix is set to lift the lid on a covert operation that saw US President Donald Trump secretly switch planes during a return trip from the NATO Summit in Turkiye. The streaming platform has released a first look at its upcoming documentary, 'The Decoy Plane', which examines the White House's elaborate ruse.

The documentary features footage and interviews with reporters who were aboard Air Force One during the incident. In the trailer, a White House photographer recalls seeing catering vehicles positioned unusually close to the presidential aircraft, while a national security correspondent describes being instructed by staff to lower window shades.

According to reports from July, Trump took a secret flight out of Turkiye on July 8 amid an alleged Iranian assassination threat. The plan involved the president boarding the older Air Force One jumbo jet in full view of cameras, only to be discreetly transferred minutes later to a smaller C-32A aircraft via an airport catering truck.

The truck, typically used for loading meals, was elevated hydraulically to a door on the opposite side of Air Force One, allowing Trump and aides to exit unseen. Air Force One, carrying media and some staff, served as a decoy.
