Miss Pretty India 2024 Winner Nidhi Tiwari Dies By Suicide In Madhya Pradesh

Nidhi Tiwari, a social media personality from Madhya Pradesh who won the Miss Pretty India 2024 title, has died by suicide. She was 30.

Tiwari, who built a following of about 16 lakh across Facebook and Instagram, was found hanging at her residence in Bhusa Mod on Saturday. Family members rushed her to a hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

With roughly nine lakh followers on Facebook and close to seven lakh on Instagram, she was among the most visible digital creators from the Vindhya region. Her posts routinely attracted thousands of reactions, and her videos drew millions of views.

After her pageant win in 2024, Tiwari was working towards a career in modelling and acting. Residents who knew her said she hoped to establish herself in the film industry, and she stayed active in modelling assignments, events and digital content as she built her public profile.

Her family has said she was speaking to someone on the phone on Saturday evening when she allegedly took her own life.

Police, however, have said they are still examining the conversations and circumstances that preceded her death. Officials cautioned against arriving at any conclusion about the reason before the investigation is complete, adding that call records, digital activity and other evidence are being reviewed.

Dr Gyanendra Singh, in-charge of the Morwa police station, said information is being gathered from Tiwari's family, acquaintances and others linked to the case.

News of her death prompted an outpouring of grief online, with followers who had once filled her posts with praise for her appearance, confidence and achievements posting tributes.
