India's campaign at the 73rd Miss World concluded in Nha Trang, Vietnam, with Nikita Porwal finishing among the Top 40 contestants. Her placement extends India's remarkable record of reaching the latter stages at eight consecutive editions of the global pageant.
Porwal's journey was celebrated by the Miss India organisation, which praised her for representing the nation with grace and conviction on an international platform. The official statement expressed pride in her performance and thanked her for the memorable moments she delivered throughout the competition.
For the finale, Porwal wore a custom creation featuring a sculpted corset with intricate floral embroidery and hand embellishments. The gown, described as having a dreamlike quality, incorporated thousands of beads and layers of Italian tulle, flowing into a dramatic mermaid silhouette. She also paid tribute to the host nation by wearing the traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai.
The Top 20 includes representatives from Zimbabwe, Zambia, Senegal, Kenya, South Africa, Peru, the United States, Argentina, the Dominican Republic, Brazil, Malaysia, the Philippines, the Cook Islands, China, Vietnam, France, Spain, Belgium, Gibraltar, and Ukraine. Thailand's Suchata Chuangsri, the reigning Miss World 2025, is set to crown her successor at the conclusion of the event.
