Noah Wyle on Emmy Win for 'The Pitt' and the Lesson He Took From 'ER'

Noah Wyle has won two Emmy Awards for his work on "The Pitt" — best actor in a drama and best drama series — and he is determined to enjoy this run in a way he did not manage the first time.

Speaking alongside R. Scott Gemmill, the creator of "The Pitt," Wyle looked back on his years on "ER" and admitted he had been too unsettled to fully appreciate that period. He described it as a wonderful and heady time, but said he spent most of it on his back foot. Only after the experience had ended, he said, did he wish he had made more of it, enjoyed it and taken more deep breaths.

Wyle said he promised himself that if lightning struck again, he would take the time to smell the roses. He called the current chapter an amazing trip.

Gemmill responded with a reminder of how young Wyle had been during "ER," telling him he was a baby at the time. Wyle agreed, and Gemmill added that he had done the best he could.

Wyle was also seen posing with his two Emmy statuettes after Sara Wells adjusted his tie.
