NTA suspends exam agency Eduquity after AIAPGET power failure in Jaipur

NTA suspends Eduquity Career Technologies after AIAPGET lapses at Jaipur centre; 49 candidates to retake exam on Sept 1.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has taken action against Eduquity Career Technologies Pvt Ltd following disruptions during the AIAPGET examination at a Jaipur centre on August 22. The agency issued a show-cause notice to the firm, citing lapses in the conduct of the test at the affected venue.

In an official statement, the NTA said that pending resolution of the notice, Eduquity's empanelment with the testing agency stands suspended with immediate effect. The suspension means the firm will not be engaged for any NTA-conducted examinations until the matter is settled.

The development comes after 49 candidates at the Jaipur centre were unable to complete the AIAPGET examination due to a power failure on the day of the test. In response, the NTA has announced a re-examination for the affected candidates, scheduled for September 1.

The AIAPGET is a national-level entrance test for admission to postgraduate Ayurveda courses. The NTA's swift action underscores its commitment to maintaining the integrity and smooth conduct of examinations across its network of test centres.
