NVIDIA Q2 Revenue Jumps 106% as AI Compute Demand Accelerates
NVIDIA reported Q2 revenue of $96.2 billion, up 106% year-over-year, and issued strong guidance as AI infrastructure demand accelerates.
NVIDIA has posted better-than-expected fiscal second-quarter results, with revenue surging 106% year-over-year to $96.2 billion for the period ended July 26, 2026. The figure also represents an 18% increase from the previous quarter. The company's stock rose 4% in after-hours trading following the announcement and its upbeat revenue forecast for the next fiscal year.
Both GAAP and non-GAAP gross margins came in at 75.0% for the quarter. Earnings per diluted share were $2.46 on a GAAP basis and $2.22 on a non-GAAP basis.
CEO Jensen Huang attributed the strong performance to a pivotal moment for artificial intelligence. "AI has reached its inflection point," he said. "Now, compute is revenue. And demand is accelerating." Huang noted that the AI infrastructure buildout is at full steam, with the company's Vera Rubin platform now in full production and designed to support a wave of new AI labs, startups, and physical AI applications.
Data center revenue, a key growth driver, reached $89.0 billion for the quarter, up 18% sequentially and 117% from the same period last year.
Looking ahead, NVIDIA expects revenue of approximately $108.0 billion, plus or minus 2%, for the current quarter. The company also highlighted several strategic moves, including partnerships with major financial firms to create independent compute financing platforms aimed at mobilizing over $500 billion in third-party capital for AI infrastructure. Additionally, NVIDIA announced that SpaceXAI will deploy its Vera CPUs for agentic AI applications and launched an open-source collection of tools for physical AI development.
During the quarter, NVIDIA returned approximately $26.0 billion to shareholders through share repurchases and dividends. The company declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.25 per share, payable on October 1, 2026, to shareholders of record as of September 10, 2026.
