OpenAI and Nvidia CEOs to Address G20 Tech Ministers in North Carolina

Top technology executives are set to take part in a Group of 20 ministerial meeting focused on digital innovation, scheduled for next week in Raleigh, North Carolina. The gathering is part of a series of events leading up to the G20 leaders' summit in Miami this December, which the United States is hosting this year.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman are both confirmed to appear at the meeting, according to a source familiar with the arrangements. Altman will join a fireside chat with U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, where he is expected to discuss upcoming advances in artificial intelligence, a company spokesperson said. Huang's office did not respond to a request for comment.
Several other prominent figures are slated to join virtually, including SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, Meta executive Dina Powell McCormick, and venture capitalist David Sacks, who previously served as a White House adviser on AI.
The Raleigh meeting will bring together technology and commerce officials from G20 member countries to discuss AI and other emerging technologies, as outlined on the event's official website. The discussions are expected to shape priorities for the broader G20 agenda under the U.S. presidency.
