Orlando Bloom exits Priyanka Chopra's 'Reset' days before filming

Orlando Bloom has left the survival thriller 'Reset' days before shooting, with Priyanka Chopra set to choose his replacement.

The survival thriller 'Reset' is facing a casting shake-up just days before cameras were set to roll. Orlando Bloom, who was attached to star in and co-produce the independent film alongside Priyanka Chopra, has stepped away from the project.

Bloom had been involved with the film through its pre-production phase, but his exit comes at a critical juncture. The production team is reportedly considering three actors for the role, with a decision expected shortly to keep the schedule on track.

Bloom's departure also has implications beyond the cast. His attachment was considered a key factor in securing financing and international distribution for the film. Chopra, who is also a producer on the project, is said to have the final say on his replacement.

Meanwhile, Chopra's slate remains busy. She is set to make her Telugu cinema debut with SS Rajamouli's 'Varanasi', opposite Mahesh Babu. The film, featuring music by Oscar-winning composer MM Keeravani, spans multiple timelines and continents and is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on April 7, 2027. Production is in its final phase.

She will also reprise her role as Nadia Sinh in the second season of Prime Video's 'Citadel' and is attached to star alongside Russell Crowe in the sci-fi action thriller 'Bluefly', directed by Nimrod Antal.
