Drone strike damages Ozon logistics hub in Ufa
A drone attack caused minor damage and temporarily closed Ozon's logistics complex in Ufa, the company said, as Ukraine intensifies strikes on Russian e-commerce infrastructure.
Russian online retailer Ozon has reported that an overnight drone attack caused minor damage to its logistics complex in the city of Ufa, leading to a temporary closure of the facility. The company confirmed that no fire broke out at the site in the Bashkortostan region, but said the complex would remain shut while a thorough inspection is carried out.
The incident is part of a broader campaign by Ukraine targeting Russian e-commerce infrastructure. Since Saturday, several Ozon facilities have been hit, and over the past month, more than 20 warehouses owned by Ozon and Wildberries — Russia's two largest online retailers — have been attacked.
In a separate development, another Ozon facility in the southwestern city of Orenburg was evacuated due to a missile alert. That facility has since resumed operations, according to the company.
The strikes appear aimed at disrupting a fast-growing sector that has become a key employer in Russia, as Ukraine seeks to inflict economic damage through targeted attacks on logistics and distribution networks.
