Bhavana Studios Announces 'Picnic' with Sandeep Pradeep in Lead

Bhavana Studios has announced its next production, titled 'Picnic', following the record-breaking success of 'Bethlehem Kudumba Unit'. The new project brings together producers Dileesh Pothan, Fahadh Faasil and Syam Pushkaran, the team behind the earlier hit.

The film will be headlined by Sandeep Pradeep. Making his directorial debut with 'Picnic' is Kiran Josey, who co-wrote 'Bethlehem Kudumba Unit' with Girish AD.

The ensemble cast includes Indrajith Sukumaran, Dileesh Pothan, Sujin Sreedharan, Akshatha Ajith, Reshma Jose, Mary, Vijay Muthu, Pranav Prabhu and Uthara Ganga. Govind Vasantha has been roped in to compose the music.

The makers unveiled a poster for the film, which shows a family seated together as if posing for a photograph, hinting at a family-oriented narrative. The poster was shared on the production house's Instagram handle, along with the release date.

The announcement follows the massive box-office performance of 'Bethlehem Kudumba Unit', which the studio described on social media as the highest-grossing film of Keralam. That film starred Nivin Pauly and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles, with music by Vishnu Vijay, cinematography by Ajmal Sabu and editing by Akash Joseph Varghese.
