PM Modi Marks SRCC Centenary, Releases Commemorative Coin

PM Modi attended SRCC's centenary celebrations in Delhi, arriving by metro and releasing a ₹100 commemorative coin.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday attended the centenary celebrations of Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) at Delhi University. He arrived at the campus via the Delhi Metro, interacting with commuters, including children, during the journey.

In a post on X earlier in the day, the Prime Minister described the college as an iconic institution that has distinguished itself through academic excellence and institution-building. He noted its role in nurturing generations of leaders across business, public life, and society.

During the event, Mr. Modi released a commemorative ₹100 coin to mark the centenary. This visit follows an earlier meeting in April, when he received the college's governing body and a delegation at his residence. A special commemorative postage stamp was also released on that occasion.

The Prime Minister's last visit to SRCC was in 2013, when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. His presence at the event comes amid the Bharatiya Janata Party's ongoing outreach efforts aimed at engaging with the younger generation.
