PM Modi Set to Mark Teachers' Day at SRCC Centenary Celebrations

PM Modi likely to visit SRCC on September 5 for centenary celebrations and a direct dialogue with Gen Z students.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to visit Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) in Delhi on September 5, a date that coincides with Teachers' Day, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The visit is being planned around the institution's centenary celebrations. SRCC, a premier college for Commerce, Economics and Management studies located in the North Campus, is completing 100 years, making the occasion a significant milestone.

A central feature of the proposed programme is a direct interaction between the Prime Minister and students from the Gen Z cohort. The engagement is designed to give young people a platform to share their views, aspirations and concerns directly with the Prime Minister.

The planned interaction comes amid the BJP's ongoing Gen Z outreach initiative. The party has recently constituted a dedicated team for this programme, involving senior leaders and younger representatives, to engage with young Indians on issues such as education, employment, entrepreneurship, technology and innovation.

Sources indicated that the outreach strategy prioritises direct dialogue and participation over conventional political communication. The Prime Minister's proposed visit to SRCC is therefore seen as a key component of this broader effort to connect with the next generation of voters and understand their expectations for India's future.
