Netflix Drops Trailer for South Korea's Oscar Entry 'Possible Love'

Netflix released the trailer for 'Possible Love', South Korea's Oscar entry, ahead of its festival run and global release.

Netflix has unveiled the trailer for 'Possible Love', the film chosen as South Korea's official entry for the Best International Feature Film category at the 99th Academy Awards. The streaming platform shared the first look on its Korean Instagram handle on Thursday.

The film follows two married couples whose lives intersect when a documentary filmmaker and her husband decide to capture the story of a laid-off worker and his spouse. As the four spend a summer getaway together, the project gradually exposes the distance between them, bringing buried tensions and hidden desires to the surface.

The cast includes Jeon Do-yeon and Sul Kyung-gu as the struggling couple, alongside Zo In-sung and Cho Yeo-jeong as the filmmaker and her husband. Lee Chang-dong directs from a script co-written with Oh Jung-mi.

'Possible Love' has already secured slots at several major international festivals. It will premiere in Competition at the 83rd Venice International Film Festival and has also been selected for the Toronto, New York, San Sebastian, Zurich, and Vancouver film festivals.

The film is scheduled for a theatrical release in South Korea on September 23, followed by a global streaming debut on Netflix on November 6.
