President Murmu Urges Teachers to Embrace Technology on Teachers' Day
President Murmu greets teachers, honors Dr. Radhakrishnan, and urges adoption of technology and innovative methods in education.
President Droupadi Murmu has extended her greetings to teachers across the nation on the eve of Teachers' Day, acknowledging their crucial role in shaping the future of students.
In her message, the President paid tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the former President of India whose birth anniversary is commemorated as Teachers' Day. She lauded his legacy as a distinguished scholar, philosopher, and educator.
President Murmu emphasized that teachers, through their guidance and mentorship, play a vital role in nurturing talent and strengthening the character of young people. She noted that a dedicated teacher can recognize the unique potential in each student and inspire them to strive for excellence.
Urging the teaching community to evolve with the times, the President called for the continuous updating of knowledge and the adoption of modern, innovative teaching methods. She specifically encouraged teachers to embrace technology and promote independent thinking and a spirit of enquiry among students.
Expressing gratitude for their contributions, President Murmu expressed her wish that teachers continue to nurture enlightened generations who will lead the nation to greater progress. As part of the Teachers' Day observances, the President is scheduled to honor 25 teachers on September 5.
Separately, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to interact with students and faculty at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) in Delhi University as part of the institution's centenary celebrations.
