Paul Thomas Anderson's Carnegie Hall Concert Film to Premiere at NYFF

Paul Thomas Anderson's latest feature, 'Cameron Winter at Carnegie Hall,' is set to make its world premiere at the 2025 New York Film Festival. The screening is scheduled for October 1 at Alice Tully Hall, with the director and musician Cameron Winter in attendance.

The film documents Winter's sold-out solo performance at the iconic New York venue last year. Anderson directed and shot the project himself, working on both 35mm and 16mm film. The music was recorded and produced for the film by Ariel Rechtshaid, a Grammy-winning producer known for his work with Vampire Weekend and Adele.

The project is co-produced by filmmaker and actor Benny Safdie, alongside producers Sara Murphy, Erica Frauman, and Maggie Ambrose.

'Cameron Winter at Carnegie Hall' joins a robust festival slate that includes Tony Gilroy's 'Behemoth!' as the centerpiece selection, Ava DuVernay's documentary '14th' as the closing night film, and Takashi Yamazaki's monster epic 'Godzilla Minus Zero.' Also screening are new works from Ryusuke Hamaguchi, Arie and Chuko Esiri, Pawel Pawlikowski, and Andrey Zvyagintsev.

The festival opens on September 25 with the North American premiere of James Gray's period thriller 'Paper Tiger,' starring Adam Driver, Scarlett Johansson, and Miles Teller.
