Raaka sets Guinness World Record for real-time motion capture of 37 performers

Allu Arjun and Atlee's upcoming film Raaka has secured a Guinness World Record for the "Most People Motion-Captured in Real-Time", with 37 performers captured simultaneously. The feat was announced by the film's production house, Sun Pictures, which shared the development on its social media handles on Monday.

The production house posted an image of Allu Arjun and Atlee holding the Guinness World Records certificate on the Raaka stage. In its post, Sun Pictures described the achievement as a historic moment that takes Indian cinema to the global stage, noting that the certificate was presented to the actor and the director.

Allu Arjun also acknowledged the recognition on his own social media account, describing it as a proud moment for the entire team. He thanked Guinness World Records for officially recognising the effort and expressed his excitement about what lies ahead, adding a special note of appreciation for Atlee.

Earlier in the day, the makers released a behind-the-scenes video that offered a glimpse into the making of the sequence, including footage of all 37 performers being captured together in real time. The video was shared on Sun Pictures' Instagram handle.

Produced by Sun Pictures, Raaka marks the first collaboration between Allu Arjun and Atlee. The film also features Deepika Padukone in a key role. Allu Arjun was last seen in Pushpa 2: The Rule, directed by Sukumar, which released in 2024 and performed strongly at the box office. Deepika Padukone's most recent appearance was in Kalki 2898 AD.
