Railways Clears Tri-Weekly Amrit Bharat Express Linking Bhuj and Barauni

Indian Railways has approved the launch of a new tri-weekly Amrit Bharat Express connecting Bhuj in Gujarat with Barauni in Bihar, a service that will span 2,532 km and link key destinations across Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Timings and Frequency

Train No. 19427, the Bhuj-Barauni Amrit Bharat Express, will leave Bhuj at 17:30 hours and arrive at Barauni at 04:05 hours. On the return leg, Train No. 19428, the Barauni-Bhuj service, will depart Barauni at 23:55 hours and reach Bhuj at 13:15 hours.

The Bhuj-Barauni direction will run on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, while the Barauni-Bhuj direction will operate on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Stoppages Along the Route

The train will make commercial halts at a number of stations, including Samakhiali, Ahmedabad, Ratlam, Kota, Sawai Madhopur, Gangapur City, Bharatpur, Mathura, Hathras, Bareilly, Izzatnagar, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Siwan, Chhapra, Hajipur, Muzaffarpur and Samastipur, among others.

The new service is expected to offer an additional rail travel option between the western and eastern regions of the country and to strengthen connectivity for passengers moving between Gujarat, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
