Rajeeve Slams UDF Ministers Over Foreign Trips and Private Jet Travel

CPI(M) leader P. Rajeeve has criticised Ministers of the United Democratic Front (UDF) over alleged foreign junkets and the Kerala Chief Minister's travel by private plane, arguing that the Congress-led front is sending a troubling message to voters.

In his remarks, Rajeeve said the conduct of the UDF Ministers suggests that citizens without resources are at a disadvantage compared with the moneyed elite. He contended that the wealthy are able to distribute freebies and finance foreign trips for what he described as power centres and authority figures.

The criticism centres on the contrast between the everyday difficulties faced by ordinary people and the travel arrangements and privileges enjoyed by those in positions of power. Rajeeve's statement is the latest flashpoint in Kerala's political debate over the lifestyle and expenditure of public representatives.
