Congress leader Ramya Rao questions BRS MP's properties, asks KTR to explain
TPCC leader Ramya Rao has questioned former BRS MP J. Santosh Kumar's alleged properties and asked K.T. Rama Rao to explain their source.
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee leader Ramya Rao has levelled a series of allegations against former BRS MP J. Santosh Kumar, questioning the source of his alleged properties and asking BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao to explain how they were acquired.
Ms. Ramya Rao, who is the daughter of BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao's elder brother and a cousin of Mr. Rama Rao, addressed a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan.
She challenged Mr. Rama Rao's recent claims about large properties held by his family since his grandfather's time. "We both are the grandchildren of Mr. Raghava Rao. If the family had hundreds of acres, where is our share?" she asked.
Ms. Ramya Rao alleged that she and Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao's daughter, Ms. Kavitha, had been kept away from the family, while Mr. Santosh Kumar remained close to Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao.
She also raised questions about alleged properties in Markook, Banjara Hills, Kondapur and Nanakramguda held by Mr. Santosh. Referring to a commercial property in Nanakramguda, she alleged that a 21,000 sq ft commercial complex valued at ₹21.4 crore was held in the name of Mr. Santosh Kumar's wife, Rohini.
Ms. Ramya Rao further alleged that Mr. Santosh Kumar had properties in other parts of the country and abroad, including in Australia. "Why is Mr. Rama Rao silent on these assets. Is he fearing someone," she asked.
