Ranbir Kapoor's bruised, retro avatar revealed in 'Love and War' first look
Ranbir Kapoor's first-look poster for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Love and War' shows him bruised and bloodied in a retro avatar.
The makers of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's period drama 'Love and War' have released the first-look poster for Ranbir Kapoor, offering an early glimpse of the actor in an intense, retro-flavoured role.
The poster places Kapoor in the driver's seat of a turquoise vintage convertible, set against a backdrop of classic architecture. He appears with a short buzz cut and slicked-back hair, a thin pencil moustache and round sunglasses, dressed in a light-coloured knit polo shirt.
The most striking detail is his battered condition. His left arm, resting outside the car door, is heavily bruised and bloodied, with what appears to be a bullet or gunshot wound. His calm expression stands in contrast to the injuries, adding to the mystery around his character.
The image also hints at the visual world Bhansali has built for the film, which features Kapoor alongside Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal. The poster was accompanied by background music, in keeping with the filmmaker's known emphasis on music and spectacle.
Announcing the release date on social media, the makers wrote: "Woh rutba, woh raub, woh junoon! Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War on 21st January 2027. See you at the movies!"
'Love and War' brings Kapoor, Bhatt and Kaushal together under Bhansali's direction. The film is set to release worldwide on January 21, 2027, in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
