Rangbaaz Season 4 Goes Into Production in Bhopal, Ranjan Chandel Directs

Rangbaaz Season 4 begins shooting in Bhopal next week, directed by Ranjan Chandel, with Mohit Raina in the lead.

ZEE5's flagship crime drama Rangbaaz is set to begin production on its fourth season next week. The shoot will take place in Bhopal and is expected to run for roughly two months, with the schedule wrapping up by November.

Directing the new season is Ranjan Chandel, known for the critically acclaimed crime series Grahan (2021). The makers have brought him on board to intensify the franchise with a more violent and action-driven story, centred on crime, politics, ambition, and power. This marks Chandel's first major project since his departure from The Sabarmati Report (2024) over creative differences.

The new season promises a larger scale than its predecessors, featuring a wider narrative and more intense conflicts. While the story is entirely fresh, it stays true to the franchise's tradition of exploring the dark worlds of gangsters and political strongmen in India's heartland.

Mohit Raina steps into the lead role, with an ensemble cast including Vijay Raaz, Arunoday Singh, Pawan Malhotra, Zoya Afroz, and Rahul Dev. Ashutosh Rana and Manu Rishi Chadha are also part of the principal cast. Television actress Kanikka Kapur, recently seen in Batwara 1947, joins the show as well.

Produced by JAR Pictures, the season follows an ordinary young man whose shattered dreams pull him into the underworld. As circumstances shift, ambition takes over, leading him into a world where every decision has consequences.

The series is slated to premiere on ZEE5 in early 2027.
