Telangana CM A. Revanth Reddy invited Prince Rahim Aga Khan V to the Global Summit in Future City and sought Foundation help for heritage restoration.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has invited Prince Rahim Aga Khan V to take part in the Telangana Global Summit, scheduled to be held in Future City from December 7 to 9.

The invitation was extended during a meeting between the two at Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad on Tuesday. The Chief Minister acknowledged the Aga Khan Foundation's role in restoring the State Legislative Council building and the Qutb Shahi Tombs.

During the discussions, Mr. Reddy outlined plans for the rejuvenation of the Musi River, which include developing a nighttime economy along its course. He said the State intends to convert the existing old building of Osmania General Hospital into a heritage structure and sought the Foundation's assistance in restoring it, along with City College, both of which stand on the river's banks.

The Chief Minister also spoke about the government's goal of raising Telangana's contribution to India's GDP to 10%. He highlighted features of the proposed Future City, noting that it will span 30,000 acres, with a green zone covering 15,000 acres. The site is located about 20 minutes from the international airport, and a Singapore-based company is preparing its master plans.
