Revanth Reddy to visit Sircilla on Sept 30, launch ₹345.78 crore works

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will travel to Sircilla on September 30 for his first visit to the town since taking office, combining a public outreach programme with the launch of development works valued at ₹345.78 crore.
The visit carries clear political weight. Sircilla has been represented in the Assembly by Bharat Rashtra Samithi working president K.T. Rama Rao since 2009, and the Chief Minister's programme comes amid intensified criticism from Mr. Rao over the State government's administration, the pace of welfare guarantees and local development.
The day's schedule includes a procession through the town and a public meeting near the Ragudu bypass.
On the development front, the Chief Minister will launch and lay foundation stones for a series of projects. Prominent among them is a proposed Nethanna Bazaar in Sircilla, intended to give handloom and powerloom producers better marketing facilities, particularly for the petticoat and polyester fabrics woven locally.
He will lay the foundation for Young India Integrated Residential Schools in Sircilla and Vemulawada at a cost of ₹200 crore. The Peddur campus, spread over 18 acres, is designed for about 2,600 students from Classes V to XII and will include 64 classrooms, dormitories, a dining block and sports facilities. Telangana Public Schools are also to be established at Sircilla and Konaraopet.
At Vemulawada, foundation stones will be laid for 26 works costing ₹99.40 crore as part of the development of the Sri Rajarajeshwara Swamy temple.
Seven government office buildings are also on the list, including RDO offices at Sircilla and Vemulawada, tahsildar offices at Tangallapalli, Veernapalli, Vemulawada Rural and Rudrangi, and a sub-registrar office at Vemulawada.
A 10,000-metric-tonne-capacity warehouse and allied units will be taken up at Rudrangi to support the storage of agricultural produce. The visit will also see the launch of arrangements for a women's police station at Vemulawada and two traffic police stations, one each in Vemulawada and Sircilla.
