The Revolutionaries Trailer: Four Young Rebels Take On the British Raj

Prime Video has released the trailer for its upcoming Hindi Original series, The Revolutionaries, a period drama centered on four young freedom fighters who take up arms against the British Raj. The show is inspired by Sanjeev Sanyal's book, Revolutionaries: The Other Story Of How India Won Its Freedom.

The series is created and directed by Nikkhil Advani and produced by Monisha Advani and Madhu Bhojwani under Emmay Entertainment. The writing team includes Sanyuktha Chawla Shaikh, Akshita Wadhwana, Shobhit Narang, and Rutvi Mehta.

The trailer introduces the core cast: Bhuvan Bam as Rash Behari Bose, Rohit Saraf as Sachindra Nath Sanyal, Pratibha Ranta as Pratibha Lahiri, and Gurfateh Pirzada as Bagha Jatin. Jason Shah, Paoli Dam, and Tota Roy Chowdhury appear in key roles, with Shah's General Dyer emerging as a central antagonist.

The narrative follows these four individuals as they unite in their fight against colonial rule, blending action sequences with personal stories of friendship, conviction, and sacrifice. The trailer highlights the risks involved in their decision to pursue armed resistance.

Bam noted that the project appealed to him because it explores a lesser-known aspect of the freedom struggle. He described his character, Rash Behari Bose, as a master of disguise who infiltrated British camps, adding that the limited archival material on Bose allowed him to approach the role instinctively.

Saraf, who plays Sachindra Nath Sanyal, said the role pushed him into unfamiliar physical and emotional territory. He was drawn to the contrast between Sanyal's innocence and his firm political beliefs, and revealed that the part required intensive training.

Ranta, portraying Pratibha Lahiri, said her character is a young, progressive woman fighting to be heard in a male-dominated world. She noted that the team aimed to keep the character grounded rather than larger than life.

Pirzada, who steps into the role of Bagha Jatin, said the project introduced him to a lesser-known chapter of Indian history. He described his character's quiet strength and controlled aggression, and noted that Advani wanted a young, fast-paced, and action-driven tone for the series.

The Revolutionaries will premiere on Prime Video on September 11, 2026. It will be available in Hindi, with dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Bengali, along with English and other international subtitles.
