RRB Opens NTPC 2026 Registration Windows for 5,165 Graduate and Undergraduate Posts

The Railway Recruitment Board has issued a short notice for recruitment to Non-Technical Popular Categories posts in 2026, covering graduate-level positions under CEN 06/2026 and undergraduate-level positions under CEN 07/2026. A combined total of 5,165 vacancies has been approved, of which 3,477 fall in the graduate category and 1,688 in the undergraduate category.

The notice sets out pay levels, registration timelines and vacancy counts, while the detailed notification carrying examination dates and other particulars is expected to be published shortly on the regional websites of the Railway Recruitment Boards.

Applications will be accepted online through the official portal, rrbapply.gov.in, once the registration links are activated.

Registration schedule

For graduate posts under CEN 06/2026, the application window opens on October 8, 2026, and closes on November 11, 2026. For undergraduate posts under CEN 07/2026, the window opens on October 15, 2026, and closes on November 13, 2026.

Application fee

Candidates in the General, OBC and EWS categories are required to pay a fee of Rs 500, while women, SC, ST, PwD and Ex-Servicemen applicants are required to pay Rs 250.

Aadhaar verification advisory

Applicants have been advised to verify their primary details using their Aadhaar card while filling out the form, to avoid inconvenience or delays during the scrutiny conducted at every stage of the recruitment process for applications not verified through Aadhaar. The name and date of birth recorded on the Aadhaar card must match exactly with those on the Class 10 pass certificate for verification to succeed.
