Lavrov: Russia to Step Up Attacks on Western Military Aid to Ukraine
Russia's foreign minister says Moscow will intensify efforts to destroy Western military support for Ukraine, ruling out an immediate ceasefire.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said Moscow will intensify its campaign against Western military assistance to Ukraine, vowing to dismantle the supply lines that sustain Kyiv's war effort.
In an interview broadcast on state television on Friday, Lavrov said Russia's methods would become "much tougher" in targeting Western aid. "We will make our methods much tougher in order to dismantle everything that fuels Kyiv's war machine from the West," he said, adding that such efforts were already underway.
Lavrov also addressed the prospects for ending the conflict, ruling out any immediate halt to hostilities. He insisted that a ceasefire would only be acceptable once a long-term and reliable settlement is achieved. "We must only stop once there is a long-term, reliable and sustainable settlement," he stated.
The remarks signal Moscow's continued commitment to its military objectives and its rejection of any short-term truce, even as diplomatic efforts to resolve the war remain stalled.
