Russia Claims Strikes on Ukrainian Data Centre as Kyiv Reports Repelling 26 Attacks

Russia's Defence Ministry said on Sunday that its forces had struck Ukrainian logistics hubs, communications facilities and data centres over the preceding 24 hours, according to its daily operational update.

The ministry said its troops had taken a settlement in the Kharkiv region and seized multiple buildings in Donetsk. It also listed drone strikes against Ukrainian logistics centres, port and transport infrastructure, and communications nodes, along with vessels it said were serving the Ukrainian military.

Among the targets named were the command centre of the Ukrainian Naval Base "East" at the port of Kiliya and a data processing centre in Kyiv.

In its own statement the same day, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said the country's air force, missile troops and artillery had struck several Russian facilities and repelled 26 attacks over the past day.

Ukrainian forces also reported destroying Russian tanks, armoured vehicles, artillery, air defence systems and ground robot systems, as well as drones, vehicles and special equipment.

The two accounts could not be independently reconciled, and each side's claims about battlefield losses and captured territory could not be verified from the statements alone.
