Russian Drone Hits Dnipro Office Building, Killing Three and Injuring 19

A Russian drone struck an office building in the centre of Dnipro on Monday, killing at least three people and injuring 19, according to the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.

The daytime attack set the building alight, and rescuers led 47 people out of the burning structure. Those trapped on the upper floors were brought down using an aerial ladder truck, said Oleksandr Hanzha, head of the regional military administration.

Residents described a sudden explosion followed by smoke spreading through the building. One woman, Oksana, said she and others ran downstairs after the blast. "There was already smoke on the fifth floor, I even thought about turning back, but then decided against it – it was better to brace myself and run through that section," she said. "At that moment, all you can think about is how to save yourself. Once downstairs, we were frightened and started looking for our loved ones, trying to work out where everyone was."

Another resident, 80-year-old Zinaida, said the blast shook her home and blew out her window panes. "I was at home when there was a loud bang. I went out into the yard and saw what was happening. My house was shaking," she said, adding that she had recently suffered a stroke.

Emergency services remained at the scene, working among the damaged building and broken windows.
